On your device

Music server credentials, optional service tokens, and your own translation API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. Library information, downloaded music, artwork, playback information, and translation caches may be stored on your device. You can remove connections, downloads, and caches in the app.

Listening summaries are generated on your device. Optional reminders use local notifications. CodaWren does not request your location or use an advertising or analytics SDK.

Services you connect

When you connect a Navidrome or Subsonic-compatible music server, your credentials and music requests go to that server. Playback history, ratings, or playlist changes may also be sent there. The server's operator controls its own records.

If you connect a listening statistics service, its token and requests go to that service. If you choose an online translation provider and supply your own API key, lyric text, the target language, and that key go to the provider you selected. Its privacy practices apply. On-device translation does not send lyrics to CodaWren's translation service.

CodaWren services

If you use official lyric translation, the app sends lyric lines, target language, a signed Apple purchase transaction, and a device verification identifier to CodaWren. We use the purchase information to check access and manage translation credits. Lyric text and target language are sent to Qwen AI Platform for translation; your music server credentials, server address, and purchase identifier are not sent to Qwen.

CodaWren keeps purchase-related entitlement and credit records and paid translation results. Source lyrics are removed from completed or cancelled job records. Paid results can remain available after Pro expires; you can delete them in the app. Purchase and credit records are kept as needed to manage access, restoration, refunds, and accounting.

If you send feedback in the app, we receive your message, an optional email address, optional device and app details, and screenshots you choose to attach. Feedback and attachments are normally deleted after 60 days. A random identifier stored on your device and short-lived rate-limit records help prevent abuse; they are kept separate from purchases and music libraries.

Your choices

You can disconnect services, clear local downloads and caches, turn off optional notifications, and delete saved paid translation results in the app. To ask about information held by CodaWren or request its deletion, write to support@codawren.com. Some purchase records may need to be retained for transaction or legal obligations. For records held by a music server or an online provider you chose, contact that service's operator.

This website

This site has no account, contact form, analytics scripts, or cookies set by CodaWren. Its hosting provider may process ordinary request data, such as IP addresses and access logs, to deliver and secure the site.
